But today weak and brittle nail is one of the most common issues and poor or slow nail growth is generally accompanied by these weak nails. These weak nails easily get cracked and chipped.

1. Tomatoes:

 

Tomato contains vitamin A, vitamin C and biotin which help to enhance healthy nail growth. So add tomato in your daily diet as salad. You can also make a mixture of tomato juice and olive oil and soak your fingers for about 10 minutes in that mixture to get the result. Do this two times all over the day.

 

 

2. Orange:

 

Oranges are the wonderful source of vitamin C which assists in healthy nail growth. It also contains folic acid which helps in proper nail growth. Soak your nails in fresh orange juice for about 10-15 minutes and then wash your nails with warm water. Do this step regularly to get the result.

 

 

3. Coconut oil:

 

Massage your nails with pure coconut oil daily to keep your nails moisturize and prevent nail infections. It also keeps your nails hydrated and enhances blood circulation. So heat some coconut oil and apply it on your nails and massage them with your fingertips for about 5 minutes. Do this at least two times throughout the day.

 

 

4. Apple cider vinegar:

 

Apple cider vinegar contains acids and nutrients which prevent various types of nail infections that may cause brittle and poor nail growth. Soak your nails in apple cider vinegar at least for once in a day to avoid these problems.

5. Lemon:

 

Vitamin C present in lemon helps to strengthen your brittle nails and nail growth. It also gives a fine shiny look to your nails. Add one tablespoon of lemon juice in three tablespoon of olive oil and give little heat to this mixture in microwave. Now soak your nails in this warm mixture for about 10-12 minutes. Do this process every day.

 

 

6. Olive oil:

 

Olive oil is rich in vitamin E which helps to strengthen your nail growth, moisturize them, and also enhances your blood circulation. Take some olive oil and slightly heat it. Now soak your nails in it for about 15 minutes daily for once. You can also massage your nails with this warm olive oil before sleeping for 5 minutes and leave it for overnight.

 

 

7. Horsetail:

 

Horsetail is a wonderful source of calcium and silica which helps in nail growth and also improves overall health of your nails.  Add ¾ of a teaspoon of dried horsetail stem in 2 cups of water and boil this mixture. Now strain out the tea and leave it to cool. Once cool, put your nails in the mixture for about 15-20 minutes. After this wash your nails or figures with water.

 

 

 

8. Protein food:

 

Our nails are made up of protein (keratin). So you can improve your nail health and its growth by adding more protein rich foods in your regular diet like egg, fish, lean poultry and beef. Vegetarian people can add green vegetables, nuts, whole grains, seeds and spinach in their food. So make sure that you have protein rich food items or protein shakes in your daily diet.
