Usually you suffer from acidity when you eat too much food or your meals are irregular. Some of the symptoms of acidity are:

1. Aniseed (sauf):

Aniseed supports the process of digestion and thus gives you relief from acidity. For quick relief, place one small spoon of aniseed in boiled water for an overnight and then in the next morning strain the water and add a small spoon of honey in it and drink all over the day.


2. Basil leaves (Tulsi):

Basil leaves have soothing and carminative properties which gives you relief from acidity and gas problem. Chew some basil leaves properly when you suffer from acidity. You can also boil some basil leaves in a cup of water and drink it to get relief.


3. Apple cider vinegar:

Apple cider vinegar helps to clam your stomach, reduces acid reflux and supports the process of digestion. It contains vitamins and minerals which help to reduce acid in your stomach.


4. Clove:

Clove helps to reduce the acid reflux in your stomach and gives you relief from acidity. It also helps digestion by secreting excess saliva. Put a clove in your mouth and bite it so that its juice is released in your mouth and keep it in your mouth. Then slowly-slowly bite and release juice to get the relief.


5. Cinnamon:

Cinnamon aids digestion and helps to get you relief from acidity and gas problem in your stomach. Take ½ small spoon of cinnamon powder and boil it in a cup of water. Drink it 2 to 3 times in a day to get the relief.


6. Water:

Drink water in the morning with empty stomach so that excess acid and other unwanted elements in your stomach will flush out. You can also drink coconut water for at least 3 times in a day since it helps to reduce acidity.


7. Rice:

When you suffer from acidity or gas problem eat brown rice or wild rice instead of other grains. Brown rice is rich in fiber which aids digestion and helps to reduce acidity.


8. Goat milk or skim milk:

Daily cow’s milk is hard to digest and contains fat so replace it with goat’s milk or skim milk when you suffer from acidity in your stomach. This will aid to digestion and reduce acid reflux in stomach.


9. Banana:

Banana is a wonderful source of potassium which helps to keep the level of acid production appropriate for your stomach. It raises the production of mucous in your stomach and supports the process of digestion. To get relief consume a ripe banana.


10. Cumin seeds:

Cumin seeds help in digestion and give you relief from acidity and stomach pain. When you suffer from acidity crush one teaspoon of roasted cumin seeds and mix it well into a glass of water. Then drink it after your meal to get the relief. You can also add one small spoon of cumin seeds in a cup of water and boil it and then strain it and drink after having your meal.


11. Ginger:

Ginger helps in digestion and improves absorption of essential nutrients. It increases the secretion of mucus and reduces acidity in your stomach. During acidity chew a small piece of ginger or you can also boil it in water and drink it to get the relief.
