Now a day’s our life style move around anxiety, pressure and tension which makes us susceptible to heart diseases. Some alteration in our life style can control certain health hazard of our life. We should always consult our doctor who assists us to control our high B.P and high cholesterol issues by medicines. But there are many other health factors that can be controlled by us like

  1. Over-weight
  2. Stress & Anxiety
  3. Lack of sleep
  4. Cigarette smoking
  5. Drinking alcohol

Maintain proper body weight

The more obese we are, the higher is the risk of heart disease. Over-weight also increases the chances of developing Diabetes, high Blood Pressure and Cholesterol etc. To lower the risk we should focus on keeping our weight within limits by doing regular exercise and taking proper diet.

Reduce stress & anxiety

Off beam Emotions like Stress and Anxiety surely increase the risk of heart diseases. They lead to unhealthy way of coping with stress, such as smoking, excessive eating of high fat foods etc. They generate plaque or clot formation within our arteries. So our emotional health is also an important part of taking care of heart health.

Have proper sleep

Due to heavy work loaded life, when we don’t get enough sleep then it not just makes us irritable but it also raises the risk of heart disease. One needs 6 to 8 hours of sleep every night. Sleeping less than 5 hours in a day doubles the risk of high Blood Pressure.

Avoid cigarette Smoking

Smoking destroys our lungs as well as our heart. The more we smoke the higher is the risk. About half of heart attacks are due to smoking.

Avoid drinking Alcohol

Heavy drinking can cause heart related problems as well. More than three drinks a day can raise blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Too much consumption of alcohol can also damage heart muscles.


So let’s be active and eat healthy. The sooner we get rid of these wrong habits, the longer we live.

Staying healthy is not only beneficial for our body but also for our family. We need to be healthy to make our family healthy!
