Water is an essential commodity for human, animals and all other living things. About 70 percent of the human body is made up of water. It not only helps to keep you hydrated but also nourishes your complete body and assists your body to perform functions properly. You should drink at least 2 liters (6 to 8 glasses) of water per day. Drinking adequate amount of water daily can give a number of health benefits to your body.

To lose weight, keep yourself hydrated or drink water at regular intervals as it reduces hunger and eating intake, if consumed before taking meals. When you drink water it fills your tummy and decreases the tendency to consume more. It also eliminates by-products of fat, increases your metabolism rate and contain zero calorie.

 

Your skin becomes more dry and wrinkled due to dehydration. Drinking water not only make your skin more soft, smooth and fresh but also improve the colour and texture of your skin by building new cells properly. So drink adequate amount of water daily.

 

Too little consumption of water lead to dehydration which will make your body function or activities less efficient. So drink enough water to do daily activities effectively and reduce fatigue. Water helps to maintain fluid balance and boosts energy level.

 

Drinking water helps to prevent nasty head pain as dehydration often causes headache and migraines.

Most of the human body is made up of water which regulates the body temperature. During summer season, we dissipate excess heat in the form of sweat to lower your body temperature. This regulation of body temperature has been attributed to water.

Drinking enough water assists in digestion and prevents constipation. Water helps in dissolving fats and soluble fiber. It also increases your metabolism rate and helps body to properly break down food. It reduces the load on kidney and liver by assisting to flush out waste products.

It is found that the risk of cancer reduces as you increase the consumption of fluid especially when fluid is water. Drinking enough water lowers the risk of colon cancer, breast cancer and bladder cancer.

Drinking enough water daily helps your body to fight against diseases. Water helps to remove toxin substance (bacteria) from our body in the form of sweat, urine. Thus water refreshes out whole body and makes you feel better.
